Alma Hoffmann

Alma Hoffmann is an Adjunct Professor at the Communication Department at Harrington College of Design, Chicago, IL and at the Art and Design Department at Judson University, Elgin, IL. She is interested in movement as visual communication and its translation to typographic layouuts. Other research interests include visual images in bilingual minds and the process of encoding meaning of Blingual speakers. She is also a freelance designer and has designed a diverse range of projects for a variety of clients. Alma received an MFA at Iowa State University, Ames, IA in Graphic Design. Currently she lives in Chicago, IL with her husband and two children.
