Andrea Marks

Andrea Marks is an associate professor in the graphic design program at
Oregon State University. She received a BFA in graphic design from University of the Arts in Philadelphia and did her post-graduate work at the Basel School of Design in Basel, Switzerland. Her interests in design education extend to curriculum development and exploring new ways in which students engage in learning. In 2001, She and her colleagues at OSU redesigned their entire design curriculum and introduced several innovative courses that focus on process and collaboration. She is currently writing an ebook titled: Writing for Visual Thinkers, which explores the intersection of writing and design. She is the producer of the documentary Freedom on the Fence, a film about the history of Polish posters.
