Heather Shaw is a full-time lecturer at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, teaching design for motion and dynamic media. Prior to her full-time appointment, she held adjunct professor positions at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the New England Institute of Art and Design. Heather has taught workshops both nationally and internationally that integrate elements of motion design with traditional graphic design foundation study.
She holds an MFA from the Dynamic Media Institute at the Massachusetts
College of Art and Design, and a BFA in design from the University of
Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
Heather has over ten years of professional experience working as a designer for print, motion and interactive media, specializing in museums, non-profits, and universities. She currently serves as the educational director for AIGA Boston.
