Kermit Bailey is an associate professor teaching graphic design at the College of Design at North Carolina State University. His teaching responsibilities have included coursework in digital imaging / new media, information design and typography.
Evidence of his teachings has appeared in several publications including Design for Communication: conceptual graphic design basics, and the on-line interactive journal, AIGA LOOP 4. Professor Bailey’s research focuses on pedagogical strategies with particular emphasis on overall curriculum development at the undergraduate level. He is a frequent lecturer and / or panel guest at national conferences sponsored by CAA, AIGA, SECAC as well as international venues.
In addition, Bailey co-initiated an interdisciplinary Ghana summer study abroad program for the College of Design at NCSU. He has led study tours for students and other educators extensively in the area.
