Paul J. Nini is Professor and Coordinator of the Undergraduate Visual Communication Design Program in the Department of Design at the Ohio State University, where he has also served as Graduate Studies Chairperson. His writings have appeared in a variety of publications, and he has presented at numerous national and international design and education conferences. Recent writings appear in Voice: the AIGA Journal of Design" and "Clear: the AIGA/IIID Journal of Information Design." A collection of "Selected Academic Writings" is available on-line, and essays are included in "Design Studies: Theory and Research in Graphic Design" (edited by Audrey Bennett and published by Princeton Architectural Press) and "The Education of the Graphic Designer, 2nd Edition (edited by Steven Heller and published by Allworth Press).
Paul holds an MS-Design from the Institute of Design (Chicago), and a BFA from Miami University (Ohio). He has also taught as a Visiting Instructor at the Institute of Design, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the University of Cincinnati.
